Step 1: Clear Data
- Go to "Settings".
- Select "Application Manager".
- Make sure you are in the "General" section of the Settings app, making sure that the "General" tab in the upper-right corner of the screen is marked in light blue.
- Ketuk options “Application manager”.
- Tap "All".
All the apps you have downloaded to your phone will appear.
- Pilih “Messages”.
Drag the list of apps so you find the "Messages" app. Tap on "Messages" to show app related information.
- Tap "Clear data".
You can find this option in between "Storage information", under the "Show notification" checkbox.
Step 2: Delete Check Box "Do not keep activities" in Settings
- Go to the "Settings" menu.
Follow step 1 of method 1.
- Scroll and tap on "Developer Options".
- Clear the check box in the "Do not keep activities" option.
Drag the "Developer Options" menu until you find the "Do not keep activities" option under the "Apps" tab.
- Make sure the "Background Process Limit" option is set to Standard.
This option can be found in the "Apps" sub menu as in step 3.
Step 3: Delete a Message on the SIM Card
- Go to your message inbox.
Browse through your front screen and find an app called "Messages". Icon of this application in the form of an envelope with a letter in it. Tap on the icon to open the app.
- Open the menu in the app.
Press the Menu button on your phone. Several options will appear on the screen.
- Tap "Settings".
Make sure you are in the Text message (SMS) settings "screen, making sure that the" SMS / MMS "tab in the upper-right corner of the screen is marked in light blue.
- Scroll the screen and find the "Manage SIM card messages" option.
Tap on this option to access messages stored on your SIM card.
- Delete messages on the card.
Tap the button to delete the message in the top right corner of the screen.
- If the above steps do not work, go to "Message Settings".
Come back to the "SMS Settings" menu as written in step 3.
- Clear the check box under Notifications.
If the check box is unchecked, remove the check box next to "Delivery reports".
Step 4: Trying Another Messaging App
- Go to the Play Store.
Browse through your front screen and find an app called "Play Store". Icons from this app are in the form of a bag with a colorful "Play" button.
- Write "Messaging" in the search box.
A list of popular messaging apps will appear under the check box.
- Select an app.
- Scroll the screen so you find the app you like. Make sure to compare reviews of various apps before deciding to download them.
- Once you select an app, tap its icon to see a clearer description and find the installation button.
- Install the app, and use the app as the default app.
- Tap the "Install" button to the right of the app icon.
- Once the app is downloaded to the phone, you can use it as the default messaging app.
